Summer sail

עוד שבוע רותח במחוזותינו גרם לי להרהר על יעדים רחוקים בארצות קרירות יותר בהן השמש מתפקדת כמקור אור בלבד. בידיעה שחופשה מעבר לגבולות ישראל ככל הנראה לא תתאפשר בקיץ הזה, אני מוצאת הנאה בפנטזיה וחולמת על חופשות מרגיעות ומפנקות שכמותן טרם ידעתי. טיסה בשמי התכלת, הפלגה במי טורקיז צלולים, מנוחה על חוף לבן וקריר וקניות סוערות בחנויות יוקרה ממוזגות - מחשבות כה נעימות עד כי ביכולתן לרענן ולקרר ולו במעט את מוחי הקודח. ובינתיים, כאן בתל אביב המיוזעת, ישנן הנאות קטנות יותר אך חשיבותן רמת מעלה. טיול בנווה צדק, קציצות ברוטב עגבניות (מעשה ידי! כן כן!), מלבי קר, סיבוב מתגמל למדי בשוק העתיקות וצפייה בקצת ג'אנק טלוויזיוני הפכו את השבוע החולף ללוהט ביותר.

באשר ללבוש - החלטתי ללכת על צללית קצת אחרת. חצאית ארוכה יותר מהרגיל, חולצה רחבה ושקופה. יש בזה משהו חופשי ומשוחרר, ממש כמו החופשה עליה אני חולמת.

Another hot week in the Israeli summer made me think about cool destinations where the sun functions only as a source of light. Knowing that I'll probably stay in Israel all summer,

I find a great pleasure in fantasying about soothing vacations across the sea. A summer cruise, wild shopping, exotic fruits and cool white sand - those thoughts themselves has the power to refresh and chill my terribly heated head.
Meanwhile, here in the sweaty Tel Aviv , there are smaller (but very important!) pleasures. A walk around Neve Tzedek (one of the most ancient beautiful neighborhoods of Tel Aviv), meatballs in tomato sauce (made by me! Yep!), cold Malabi (oriental dessert), great finds at the local antique market and some junk TV were the things that made this week as great as it was.
As for the outfit - I decided to go for something different. Longer skirt than usual, loose and transparent shirt. There's something really freeing in that, just like the vacation I dream of.

האאוטפיט שלהלן הורכב מפריטים שמככבים לאחרונה ברבות ממערכות הלבוש שאני לובשת. רובם כבר הופיעו פה בבלוג וחלקם אפילו הופיעו פה ממש לא מזמן. המכנסיים הסגולים הכה מדליקים מהפוסט הקודם נראים כאן הרבה פחות מבריקים וזה כמובן בגלל היום המעונן, הז'קט שהתברר כקנייה מוצלחת בהרבה מכפי שסברתי בתחילה ונעלי הפפיון שאפילו הקיץ לא יצליח להפריד בינינו. לשמחתי הרבה הימים האחרונים היו קרירים יותר (קרירים בדיוק במידה הנכונה אם שואלים אותי) אך ההרגשה האביבית ששוררת בכל מקום גרמה לי לרצות להתעטף בכמה שיותר צבע. כאן נכנסו לתמונה החולצה הצבעונית הזו שנלבשת לא מעט לאחרונה ומטפחת הכותנה הפרחונית האהובה עלי עד מאוד.
נראה לי שלכל אחד מאיתנו יש תקופות בהם פריטים מסויימים הופכים אהובים במיוחד ושאר הארון קצת נזנח, לפעמים בגלל האופנה ולעתים בשל מזג האוויר. אמנם יש פה אלמנט מסויים של בזבוז, שהרי "חבל" על כל הבגדים ששוכבים מיותמים בארון ומצד שני יש איזו נחמה בשליפה המהירה הזו של "פריטי הרגע", נכונים ועובדים עבורנו היטב.

This outfit is composed of garments that get a lot of wear lately. Most of them appeared already in my blog and some of them even appeared here very recently. The purple hot pants from the previous post, the jacket which turned out to be a greater buy than I thought at first place and my bow shoes which I'm totally in love with. In the past few days the weather got cooler, just the way I like it, and the springish atmosphere made me want to wear as much color as possible. Thus chose to wear this very colorful vintage shirt with this flowery scarf.
I think it happens to all of us - periods in which certain items get much more love than the rest of the closet which remains almost abandoned. sometimes it's because of fashion, in other times it's the weather's fault. In a way there is an aspect of waste in this situation (it's a pity for all the lonely clothes in the closet, don't you think?) but on the other hand though there is some comfort in the rapid pulling of those "items of the moment" that feel so right and work so well for us.

Waiting for the fall

Mix the patterns

אומרים שהפכים נמשכים. במקרה של הדפסים אני חושבת שזה נכון. יש לי חיבה גדולה לשילובים בלתי אפשריים של הדפסים, כאלה שלכאורה ממש לא מסדרים יחד אבל במבט שני (או שלישי) מתחילה לבצבץ איזו הרמוניה. יש משהו בדברים שאינם מובנים מאליהם שאני מאוד אוהבת.

There is a saying that contradictions attracts each other. In the case of patterns, I believe that's true. I have a great affection toward impossible mixes of patterns. I really love it when a combination looks at first weird and sort of wrong but when you take another glance at it you start seeing the harmony.
