how did you come up with the name of your blog? I first wanted to call it something with my name in it (pretty creative, huh? =P) but I couldn't think of anything intelligent that wasn't already out there and so I took my second name - Cindy - and immediately thought of cinderella. I think it kinda fits 'cause it reminds me of fairy tales, dressed and childhood.

when where you introduced to fashion? - I've always been interested in clothes, especially as I child. I would play dress up with my mom's old clothes for hours and pretend to be different characters as I changed clothes. But there was also a time in my teens where I wasn't too much into fashion and just wore what was comfortable. how do you describe your style? It's hard to describe because it's always changing and evolving. I love to experiment with different styles, shapes, looks and materials. That's what makes fashion so much fun to me - I can be somebody else everyday. Overall I'd say I dress pretty feminine and girly but I also like to dress a little more masculine and tough from time to time. what made you start a fashion blog? - I started my blog as a creative outlet for everything fashion related.

I had tons of inspiration folders saved on my hard drive and used to post my outfits on chictopia and I just wanted to have a place to put it all. And it seemed like a lot of fun ^o^

what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world? I don't know if I bring anything unique to the fashion world but I just want to inspire people and share my thoughts.

how is your style different than everyone else? I have no idea. haha. I just wear what I feel like and don't care about other people's opinions too much. If I like something on me I wear it.

במסגרת הטיול שלי ושל דניאל, החבר שלי, לבואנוס איירס הוזמנו השבוע לחתונה. כאן בארגנטינה החוק מחייב חתונה אזרחית על מנת להירשם כזוג נשוי ולכן זוג יהודי עורך לרב שני טקסים - דתי ואזרחי. האזרחי נערך לעתים במוסד ממשלתי המיועד לכך, על ידי שופט ולעתים משלמים לשופט על מנת שיערוך את הטקס באולם עם מוזמנים, כך היה בטקס אליו בו נכחנו השבוע. הטקס נערך בארבע אחר הצהריים (שעה מעט מוזרה לאירוע הנערך באמצע השבוע...) ממש על יד הנמל- "פורטו מדרו". זה איזור מאוד יוקרתי בו יש כמה מהדירות והמשרדים היקרים ביותר בבואנוס איירס ועל כן גם המסעדות והחנויות בנמל מתומחרות בהתאם.

גם החתונה היתה ברוח המקום, מאוד אלגנטית והדורה. הגברים ללא יוצא דפן בחליפות ועניבות וכל הנשים על עקבים (גם אני כמובן החלפתי את המגפיים שלי) רב העניין שלי באירוע הסתכם בסקירה של לבוש המוזמנים זאת מאחר והאירוע היה רווי באנשים אופנתיים ובנאומים בספרדית שלא יכולתי להבין...

As part of the my vacation with my boyfriend at Buenos Aires we were invited to his friends' wedding. Actually there were two ceremonies for the same wedding - a civil ceremony and a religious one. The civil took place this week at 4:00 PM (strange hour for a wedding...) near the port named "Puerto Madero". It is located in a very prestigious area where most of the restaurants and shops are very elegant and expensive.
The wedding had the same kind of spirit, very fancy and elegant. The men wore suits and ties and the women wore high heels (I changed my boots to high heels too). Anyway most of my interest in this event was focused on the clothes people wore, that's because the ceremony was full of fashionable people and speeches in spanish I couldn't understand...

I've been following this young goddess for some time now...to be honest she is a big influence to Fashion Jinx...OK there's some what of a fashion-crush. But, after you visit Barkatt-Barbro you will understand....when where you introduced to fashion? I used to sneak into my grandmothers’ attic and steal her clothes; she had quite the collection from her young and stylish days! Then I’d tuck them under my sweater, borrow some shoes and run to the bathroom across the hall to try them on. I think I was about nine or ten at the time. Since then I’ve been quite the shopaholic! I fell in love with the aspect of personal style quite early in my life; I was instantly fascinated, and I’ve been captivated ever since. But, my turning point and introduction to fashion was probably last year. I opened my eyes and saw a whole new world of fashion and style. I think this was mostly because of how well the trends of A/W 2008 suited me and my personality.how do you describe your style?I recently tried to answer a similar question, but I generally don’t like to label myself in any way. However, I would say “romantic rocker meets elegance with a pinch of emotional diva; black edition”. I change a lot; some days I’m all about rock n’ roll, and other days I’ll wear the most elegant dress I can lay my hands on. I guess I have a borderline fashion-personality disorder. What doesn’t change is my love for shoes! what made you start a fashion blog? Actually, I never intended to start a fashion blog! When I started blogging I wanted to share my Norwegian view of the world with others. Fashion just made it more fun! There is so much beauty out there; this is just a way of sharing some of my favorites! what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world? Hopefully I bring ideas and inspiration, strong fashion statements and of course my own personality! Generally, I just bring my perception of the crazy/beautiful world of fashion.how is your style different than everyone else? I’m all about black! And I love mixing things up: like for example putting on my dress backwards, using my skirts as dresses and stealing my lovers’ clothes, just to mention some. I don’t have one person that inspires me; but I tend to be drawn to the unknown, the girl in the background, the mysterious and kind of odd girls in random pictures and editorials. If someone is wearing black, I am immediately intrigued! I find a lot of inspiration in traveling, mixing up my own closet, people, my favorite designers, new designers, other bloggers and random pictures. I also love studying people that dare to wear colors and patterns, probably because I usually don’t. what impression do you want to leave on the people that visits your blog? Preferably a good one! :) I want my guests to see the importance of personal style, because anyone can be trendy! And I would like people to remember both my style and photos, and hopefully re-visit me some other time.

לכל מי שטרם ראה את הכתבה ב"את"...

הכתבה המקיפה ביותר שנעשתה עד כה בארצנו הקטנטונת על הבלוגספירה האופנתית שרוחשת כאן בישראל. חוץ מזה שהיה כיף ומרגש, היה לי סופסוף הכבוד והעונג להכיר את שלי (אוסף פרטי), אנה (that's my dress), דר (אפונה) ועפר (cupcakes).

ובינתיים, בארגנטינה הרחוקה אנחנו מבלים היטב. התחוור לי בימים האחרונים שבואנוס איירס היא לא מקום טוב לקניות. אמנם טעם טוב לא חסר פה אבל החנויות פה מתחלקות לשני סוגים: חנויות יפהפיות ויקרות להחריד (לא ברור איך הם קונים בגדים שהרי המשכורות נמוכות בהרבה) או חנויות עם מחירים שפויים אך זבליות לחלוטין... לשמחתי הרבה יש חנויות וינטג' רבות והם התקווה היחידה שלי לשופינג בחופשה הזו, כמו שאמרה אנה בכתבה אין כמו טאץ' של וינטג כדי להשאיר חותם אישי.

The photos above are from an article that was published this week at "AT" magazine. It was the biggest publication so far about the Israeli fashion blogsphere and I'm glad and proud that I was a part of it. Besides the fun I had I'm really thrilled I had the chance to meet the other girls whose blogs I constantly read.
In the meanwhile, here in Buenos Aires we are having the best time. I've realized it's not a place for shopping, everything is either extremely expensive or extremely crappy. At least there are lots of vintage shops, my only hope for some shopping...

how did you come up with the name of your blog? Everyone has always said I'm 'Doe eyed', and deer are one of my favorite animals; They're so swift and quiet, so I thought Silent Doe was perfect. when where you introduced to fashion? Probably when I was in the womb, haha. My mom has always had an amazing sense of style and always taught me about the fashion world. I think one of my earliest memories was sitting in the bathroom with her kit of Chanel, Ralph Lauren, and YSL makeup sprawled all over the floor having her do my lipstick when I was two years old. I'll always associate bright red Chanel lipstick with that moment in time.how do you describe your style? High fashion goth, haha. I grew up listening to my mom and dad's old goth, punk, new wave and hair metal albums, so I think music and different subcultures has have had a huge influence on my style.what made you start a fashion blog? I've always read fashion blogs, even from the time I was 11 or 12, so I thought 'why not start my own?'. what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world? I think my blog is different from a lot of fashion blogs out there, I post a lot about fashion, but I also post about different photographers, artists and music as well. I mainly feature darker fashion designers, items or collections, but I always like to try to include inexpensive items, because I know no matter how fabulous the latest $800 pair

of designer heels are, not everyone (including myself) can always afford to buy those items. I think there are so many inexpensive designers and brands out there, so why not take advantage of it!?how is your style different than everyone else? I like to mix a lot o different elements to my style; goth, punk, high fashion, old lady stuff, fetish wear, all sorts of different stuff. I love simple colors like black, white, grey, silver, I'm not much of a "color" person I guess you could say, hahaha.who is your inspiration? I have so many different fashion icons it's ridiculous, haha. I get a lot of inspiration from old photos from the late 70's, early 80's of the underground punk and goth culture and musicians. I really love Vivienne Westwood, Gareth Pugh, Betsey Johnson, Siouxsie Sioux, Soo Catwoman, Pam Hogg, ahhh there are so many! I could go on for days about who inspires me!what impression do you want to leave on the people that visits your blog?I want to inspire people to dress and be whoever they want to be, regardless of what other people think. Outwear wishlist

לאחר טיסה סופר ארוכה לצד השני של העולם (5 שעות למדריד, 4 שעות המתנה ועוד 13 שעות לבואנוס איירס אם אתם שואלים...) הגענו שמחים ומאושרים אל חיק המשפחה הארגנטינאית של דניאל. היינו בשוק הפשפשים, אכלנו סטייק, וחזרנו לישון סייסטה לפני ארוחת החג.
אז חוץ מזה שהרושם הראשוני נהדר המזג אוויר מושלם, קר בדיוק כמו שאני אוהבת! באופן רשמי זה אביב ומחכים פה לקיץ, מה שאומר שבחנויות יש סייל על כל בגדי החורף (כמה מגניב זה!) ולכן יש לי תקווה למצוא פריטי חורף מוצלחים במחירים טובים, הרשימה למעלה כנראה תישאר בגדר חלום.

After a very long flight (5 hrs to Madrid, 4 hrs of waiting and 13 hrs to Buenos Aires, if you want to know) we arrived to the open arms of Daniel's Argentinean family. Besides the great first impression I got from this pretty city, the weather is perfect! cold just the way I like it. It's spring now, thus all the winter clothes are on sale now!! (how cool is that?!) I really hope to find some good winter pieces in good prices while I'm dreaming in the list above.

how did you come up with the name of your blog? it's actually just based on a whim, and i didn't really know where i get them. it sounds a bit cheesy, but it expresses how i like to be colored by my fashion choices.
when where you introduced to fashion? i've liked fashion ever since i were small--toddler, even. i've always remembered people by what they're wearing. As i grew up, i became very fond of styling my friends and browsing the internet for designers and shows. i became very interested in being a fashion designer.
how do you describe your style? My style does not come from a high-end branded stuff. I work with what i got. Hand me downs, thrifteds, bargain sales, but everytime i put on an outfit, i'll make sure it's unique and uncommon! :)
what made you start a fashion blog? i started the blog to see how far my fashion and style grow, and to join the blogosphere, which is a wonderful place to be indulged in fashion.
what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world? i think what i bring is a style that does not need a lot of paychecks to achieve. i show people that even without high end brands, you can still be stylish and chic!
how is your style different than everyone else? I love to add a little indonesian inspired clothing item into my outfit. wether it's Batik, or a handmade butterfly top from Bali, on the whole, i like to dress differently than people would usually wear their daily outfits, and be eye catching!

who is your inspiration? My inspiration is everywhere! the streets, the blogs, the shows, fashion is everywhere.

Sailor vest, vintage dress

אני אמנם לא מפליגה לשום מקום אבל השילוב הימאי משהו, של השמלה והווסט נראה לי כמו לבוש הולם לפוסט טרום טיסה. ביום שישי אני נוסעת עם דניאל, החבר שלי לבואנוס איירס. חוץ מזה שהוא הבחור הכי הכי שהכרתי, הוא גם ארגנטינאי. הוא נולד וגדל בבואנוס איירס ואני מאוד מתרגשת שסוף סוף תהיה לי את ההזדמנות להכיר את משפחתו וחבריו (מקצתם אמנם ביקרו בארץ בשנתיים האחרונות, אך את רובם טרם פגשתי) וכמובן לראות את הסביבה בה הוא גדל.

כבר זמן רב שאני שומעת נסים ונפלאות על בואנוס איירס וכעת תהיה לי ההזדנות להיווכח בכך בעצמי. אין לנו הרבה תכניות אבל ברור שאופנה חייבת להיות חלק מהסיפור. למזלי דניאל הוא בחור בעל טעם משובח, שגדל ועבד בין בדים ואריגים במפעל של אמו בו מייצרים בגדים, בעיקר ג'ינסים. דניאל כבר חשב עבורנו על כל מוקד משיכה אופנתי בעיר שעשוי לעניין אותי (כבר אמרתי שהוא גבר לעניין?) ועל כן בתכנית ביקור בשוק של מעצבי אופנה צעירים, ביקור בשכונה בה מוכרים בדים ומוצרי סדקית (מעין נחלת בנימין ענקית), ביקור בחנויות של מעצבי אופנה ארגנטינאיים מובילים וכמובן ביקור במפעל הביגוד המשפחתי.
חוץ מזה אנחנו מתכננים לנוח הרבה בחיק המשפחה, לבקר הרבה אצל הסבא והסבתא, לאכול המון בשר ואלפחורס, להתארח בחתונה (האמת שיש שתיים - אבל הן של אותו זוג) ואולי גם לישון קצת.

דניאל הוא זה המצלם עבורי את רב התמונות לבלוג ולכן מובטחים עדכונים שוטפים מבואנוס איירס. אני כרגע במצב התרגשות מתקדם וגם נוטה קצת ללחץ לפני טיסה, אם יצא אני אעדכן פעם נוספת לפני יום שישי ואם לא אז שנה טובה!

This Friday I'm flying along with Daniel, my boyfriend, to Buenos Aires. Besides being the best guy ever, Daniel is also Argentinian, born and raised. I'm really exited to finally have the chance to meet all of his family and friends and see his neighberhood and the places where he grew up.

For the past two years I keep hearing amazing stories about Buenos Aires, now I'll have the chance to see it myself. We don't have many plans but of course fashion has to be part of the story. Luckily Daniel is a guy with a great taste, who grew up working between textiles fabrics in his mother's factory which manufactures clothes, especially jeans. Daniel had planed for us visits in every possible fashionable attraction (Did I mentioned how great he is?) and so the plan includes a visit at a market of indie fashion designers, a visit at the neighborhood where they sell fabrics and haberdashery products, a visit at the shops of leading Argentinean fashion designers and of course a visit in the family clothing factory.

Besides that we plan to spend time with the family, to visit the grandparents, eat a lot of meat and cookies, to be at a wedding (actually we are invited to two - but it's the same couple) and maybe get some sleep as well.
Daniel is the one who takes most of the pics for my blog so for sure I'll keep update from Buenos Aires.

In the first place I look for comfort in my jeans. It´s important to choose well the height and that neither are too tight. A basic model could turn in the perfect jeans to complete your look. Then depending on the trends I look for different colors, destroyed, cigarettes, flared, with patches, tie-dey....
A perfect jeans is that one that for the day accompanied of t-shirts obtains an image comfortable and relaxed very sport. More elegant with white shirt and in the night with a good heel it can make you feel very sexy.

Victoria Beckham's hairstyles always make the headlines- especially if she has changed her look.

Victoria has changed her style over the last 5 years many times. She started out with long curly hair - that she got from wearing hair extensions. This was a crazy stage for awhile where everyone wanted to get extensions to look like Victoria.

Then she shattered all ideas about hairstyle by getting all her hair cut off short. She started with a long version of the inverted bob hairstyle. Her hair was longer in the front and shorter in the back with tons of layers and height in the crown area.

The inverted aka shattered bob then morphed into a short pixie hairstyle, much like that of Halle Berry. It does look cute, but the longer styles seem to make her small features look better. Make up for a charity fashion show

השבוע איפרתי בתצוגת אופנה של האגודה למלחמה בסרטן בהשתתפות במסגרת הפרוייקט "להיראות טוב - להרגיש יותר טוב". בתצוגה בהנחייתה של רונית יודקוביץ, השתתפו מטופלות בשלבי מחלה שונים לצד דוגמניות, ביניהן מלכת היופי הנוכחית עדי רודניצקי ומלכת היופי הקודמת, תמר זיסקינד. עוד על האירוע תוכלו לקרוא פה ופה.

This week I attended a fashion show of a fight cancer organization as a make up artist. as part of the project "look good - feel better", models and patients attended the fashion show, both walking proudly on the catwalk.
