For the Love of Editorials.....W

Inez and Vindooh stun fashionistas in this 17-page spread. Freja Erichsen and Raquel Zimmermann are captured in Paris and New York as they play the role of a couple. The editorial is titled "Art and Commerce". Both models make a statement as the pose in Museum of Modern Art and Centre Pompidou.

I adore this spread mainly because of the tights! But Zimmermann really shines. I love that the photographers make it seem as if the model is looking at an art piece.

In all the photos, Zimmermann is bigger than Erichsen. I love how the focus in on what Zimmermann wears because in every shot she has different outfits while Erichsen is in the same outfit.
I like how the photographers incorporated tourists in the photo. This image is amazing. It shows the clothing beautifully. I absolutely love how Erichsen is standing afar from Zimmermann but is still noticeable. Overall, I love this editorial!!

For the Love of Editorials.....Italian Elle

Since we can't get enough of Alexei Hay who photographed Hilary Rhoda in Italian Elle, we decided to give you lovely fashionistas a taste of his other work. In the January 2010 issue of Elle Italia, model Liya Kebede mixes high fashion with roller blades. Her "hobo chic" look as fashiongonerogue puts it is a blend of couture dresses and high-end street wear.

Kebede gaze at the viewers is intense and hypnotizing. I love juxtaposition between the dress and roller blades.

I love this photo of Kebede especially the pose she uses as if she's roller blading!!

I wish we would have seen the model's face more nevertheless it's still an amazing shoot

For the Love of Editorials.....Paris Vogue

Lara...Lara...Lara, you never cease to amaze the fashion obsessed. I'm sure everyone is aware of Steven Klein's fashion spread: "Lara, Fiction Noir". Well the renowned photographer posted uncensored photos of the scandalous spread that were, surprisingly, too much for Paris Vogue's magazine

I'm not sure how to view this image. It's very disturbing but engaging at the same time. I want to look away but the intensity keeps my eyes focused on Ms. Stone.

This picture never made it to the issue. At first I wondered why, but after much thought I realized the insanity of the image. Lara is calm while smoking a cigarette. Disconnected to the mayhem around her.

For the Love of Editorials.....Paris Vogue

This beautiful editorial shot by Terry Richardson, appeared in the Paris Vogue 2006 August issue. I'm sure you're all wondering why I'm starting with a dated editorial. The images are clean, simple and most importantly show the clothing perfectly!!

Model Carmen Kass is styled in basic tees and jeans. However, stylist (I'm guessing Carine Roitfeld but don't quote me) turns this everyday look into something extraordinary. Chanel is used in almost every spread. From the purses to the necklaces and, of course, the jackets.

I think the background choice is perfect for this spread, especially the first picture when Kass appears to not pay attention to the camera. Overall, this editorial grabbed my attention in a good way!
