Kim Kardashian Needs a Date - The "Platinum Girl" Way
Some of you might be laughing at the thought of Kim Kardashian needing a date. She has dated several athletic, handsome, and affluent men. Moreover, being gorgeous certainly offers a fair amount of accessibility to even more men of the same ilk. Yet, as we all know in life, it's quality and not quantity that matters. Like many single women, Kim faces similar difficulty trying to find her Mr. Handsome. In this week's issue of Us Weekly, Kim mentioned that she hates dating, but wants to find someone who is "sweet, considerate, and makes me laugh."
Were Kim one of my consults, I would advise her to attend singles events so that she could meet single men who are interested in dating. I would even coach her on playing Hard-to-Get when there. However, Kim is not going to attend these because, well, she's "Kim K." And you won't find "Kim K" at a singles event. Because she is "Kim K," it will be harder for her to meet someone. She is picky and does not like that many men.
Even worse, as I have pointed out in my other posts about her, Kim knows nothing about playing Hard-to-Get. From talking too much about her personal life with the media to throwing her boyfriend's birthday party less than a month after dating, Kim needs a few tips on how to handle herself. This is why it will make it that much more important that she Gets and Keeps Her Guy once she meets him.

This is why it will make it that much more important that she Gets and Keeps Her Guy once she meets him.
So, what is my advice to Kim Kardashian on playing Hard-to-Get to Get and Keep Her Guy?
1. Kim must take it easy on the texting! Us reported that when Kim first started dating Dallas Cowboys Miles Austin, a "heavy texting relationship started in June." Based on her fast-and-furious relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo (who she later found out had a girlfriend), Kim does not take her relationships slowly enough in the beginning. Too much texting back and forth makes a man treat a woman casually. When they know you are easily accessible, they will start asking for last minute dates and not plan in advance. Besides, getting to know each other should be happening on dates and not over text. Kim is way too busy to text all day long.
2. Kim should stay away from blind dates. Kim told Us that her blind date with L.A. Galaxy soccer player Alecko Eskandarian was "really sweet, but a one-on-one date with a boom mic overhead was ultimately doomed." Kim's assessment is not entirely true. If a man must have you, it does not matter if the whole world is watching your date. Blind dates are of the worst variety because he did not pick you. Relationships always work best when a man picks a woman and not being set-up. At this point, she should wait for the man who approaches her while out for the evening. Kim can tell her family and friends that she appreciates their concern, but no more blind dates. Ever.
3. Finally, she should stop bringing her family into the picture so soon. Us stated that Miles "met Kim's sisters within one week. Kim's family are her best friends. She needs their green light before she takes [relationships] seriously." While it is nice that she places such a high value on her family's opinion, she is 30 and should start thinking more for herself.
There are several other reasons for holding off. First, a man should earn the right to meet her family. Second, it sends the man the wrong impression that meeting her family isn't special and that she is willing to let any man meet them. Finally, it puts unnecessary pressure on dating right at the outset. The beginning should be dates once a week and family meetings down the road. It also goes without saying that the man should be introducing her to his family first.
